B-day Weekend

As most of you know my birthday is fast approaching. I will be turning 32. A little scary. I remember turning 20 and that was awful. Now that I'm a mom I don't care. The plan for my b-day is that I will be going out with my friends for dinner. Dave and gran will be babysitting. I'm hoping Alex behaves for her daddy and gran. I really don't want a phone call saying please come home. We do have plans to see all the grandparents. I'm also hoping we can see the aunts as well. We will have to plan something. This year my birthday will be even more special. It's my first birthday as a mom. I can't wait to see what Alex bought me:) I was trying to think of the 3 best birthdays I had and Well here they are. They are not in any particular order.

From birth to March of 1998 celebrating my b-days with my grandpapa.( We shared the same b-day). Miss phoning him and saying happy birthday grandpapa and hearing him saying happy birthday catin(means doll in french and it was what our grandparents called us. I don't even have the correct spelling for it). Before he passed away he jokingly ask us what we would like for our b-day, if there was an after life. I responded. No snow and sunshine. Lets see what happens on Friday. If I had one wish it would be to have one more birthday with him. Grandpapa je t'aime et bonne fete.


March 30th 2003 Dave proposed( best b-day gift ever)

March 2000-2002 one of those year my birthday was around Easter and we celebrated Easter and my birthday with Dana and her family and her family farm. Her and her mom baked me a bunny shaped birthday cake. Thanks Dana.

Now that I'm a mom I have one b-day wish and that's for Alex to have a great relationship with her grandparents. Well I'm off to bed since we are leaving in the morning. Have a great weekend.

Psycho Cat

Like the title says we have a psycho cat. I bought a bath mat for the down stairs bathroom, since theres tile and the floor is always cold. I pick off white since it looks really good with the color of the tile and the rest of the decor. Well ever since we had this bath mat Logan keeps pooping on it. we thought maybe he was telling me to clean his litter box more often. It turns out it has nothing to do with that since I keep very clean for him. I called the vet and there response is simple. The cat either doesn't like the feel of it or the color. IT'S A FLIPPING BATH MAT! Dumb cat.

Looking Back

Today Alex isn't really feeling good. She hasn't eaten much and she's really cranky. I took a long nap with her. There was a time, not so long ago that I could just nap by myself and just worry about me. That has all changed. It made think about what life was before she was here. It also didn't help that when Dana called me we had to hang up the phone since someone got really cranky. It tore me up that I couldn't talk to Dana since I miss her. We did chat for a little. Dana is looking forward to meeting her. I can't wait for her to meet Alex. Any way this post is going nowhere so here are some pics.

Wednesday Morning

This morning we had an appointment at the bank. I was still in pj's and Dave ask if Rudy was coming with us for a car ride. I said yes, well Dave said the words to Rudy and he got really excited. I was like, I'm not ready. Dave's like,Oh I though you were. Here I am just in pj's, hair messy and I haven't even brushed my teeth or even had a shower. I look awful. Do I look this bad when I am showered and ready to leave the house? My own husband can't even tell the difference. I'm upset, no I'm VERY upset and insulted. Thanks Dave, you really know how to make a girl feel crappy.

Weekend Disaster

Sorry Steve, had to call it that. Kim, Steve and Gordie were coming for a visit but had to cancel due to uncontrollable sickness. Steve came down with the flue. I guess getting a flue shot doesn't work. I didn't get one this year. I don't believe in them since, there are always new flues that the vaccine doesn't cover. If that made any sense. I was looking forward to the visit. I'm I making you feel any worst? Hope not just get better. We are still expecting the grandpa and Granny. We are not to certain what day they come but they will let us know. Dave and I will use the time to finish up some cleaning. I managed to put his dresser in my closet. This way there is more space in the spare room. WE are now looking at getting rid of some old shelving from Dave old old computer desk. It's just in our room collecting dust bunnies.

Alex has been doing well napping in her crib. She'll go down at 1pm and nap till about 3pm. So far so good. Well lunch is ready. Hope you feel better soon Steve.
