Where Have I Been?

Incase you forgot I work at Mcdonald's and that's where I've been and I've been sick. Didn't think anybody read what I wrote. The Basement was coming along. The contractor said he'd be by today(Saturday) and since we were both working we said o.k. and lent him our key. Well like usual he never showed up. I'm thinking of finishing the painting but I'm exhausted from my shift and feel like doing NOTHING.

He Wants More Money

Like the title says, our so called contractor wants more money. What good is a signed contract if he wants to change. I guess he says he misquoted us by 4000$. That is a lot of extra money that we don't have. Will we do it? I don't want to. All I want is my basement. The law says he can change the contract by 10%, Therefore we can pay an extra 730$. Only if we agree to it. This is very stressful. All I wanted was a nice rec room. Will I ever get that?

Contractor Is No Longer M.I.A.

Our contractor finally called. It only took about 8 messages to the guy. I guess he was in Ottawa on a family Emergency, and just got back last night. Dave and I are mean people just call and let us know. He is over an hour late getting here. He actualy phoned to tell me he is on his way. I'm off to have lunch with my uncle and my mom.

SNOW SNOW AND LOTS OF IT

Incase no one knows, we are getting a tone of the white stuff. Dave spent 2 hours shoveling and we have a small driveway. My mom and I did some today as luck has it,it's snowing again and lots of it.

IT took me over an hour to get home from work. I couldn't see two feet infront of me. I'm off tomorrow so I guess I'll be shoveling and waiting for the contractor to phone. I give him till the end of the week and if we don't hear from him, I will talk to a lawyer on the subject of the MIA contractor. Well I'm off to bed. I will try a sleep since Mr. Grant is snoring pretty loudly.

Secret Shopper

Today I was informed that last night during my 11-7 shift, I received a secret shopper. Incase no one knows what that is. McDonalds has pretend customers that come in and grade us. We get them twice a month. I've never had one.

I'm really picky as a manager, I like to have my floors clean as well as the lobby. I also hate it when crew just stand around. Back to the secret shopper. I failed. I was so upset.

If the manager on duty gets 100% we get a 100$. I lost marks on my lobby. I was fuming when she tols me that. I was like that's impossible. Then when she told me the time that he came andI remembered that at that time I had ask Tamara to go out to lobby and she said they were just there. I didn't believe her so I went to the washroom and on my way, I noticed that they were in fact lying. Instead of telling her right away I went to the bathroom, and she was serving a cutomer. Never guess who? Yup the secret shopper. I was so upset. I also lost marks because she wan't smiling.
I got a good comment from him. The service was very fast. I guess it's hard at Wal Mart McDonald's to get that mark, so I guess I did great. Hopefully next time I get a 100% and I can get a 100$. I'm off to watch television.
